Ud Filter
Worksheet Description
This follow-up coloring sheet repeats the challenge with a new mix of images and words. Students color only “-ud” words such as stud, thud, pud, spud, and mud while skipping nonexamples like stride, trash, fell, and beside. The variety keeps the pattern fresh in different contexts. It reinforces that endings, not pictures alone, determine family membership.
Repeated exposure cements orthographic mapping of the “-ud” pattern. Learners practice decision-making as they justify each choice. The activity strengthens attention to detail under light time pressure. It also broadens vocabulary with both familiar and less common “-ud” words.
