Trace Train
Worksheet Description
This worksheet provides lines of traceable “-it” words such as kit, split, admit, and commit. Students trace over the dotted words and then rewrite them independently. The repeated writing builds automaticity. It also combines reading, tracing, and handwriting in one practice session.
Tracing builds fine motor coordination and handwriting fluency. It reinforces spelling memory through multisensory repetition. By copying both short and longer words, students strengthen orthographic knowledge. This activity ensures learners develop the confidence to write and spell “-it” family words quickly and correctly.
