Measuring Scissors

Worksheet Description

You will measure the length of all the scissors.  You will also indicate the longest pair. This worksheet is designed to teach students how to measure objects and compare their lengths. The worksheet features images of three pairs of scissors, each of a different size. Students are instructed to use the ruler provided at the bottom of the page, which they need to cut out, to measure the length of each pair of scissors and write the measurement in inches in the space provided next to each image. After measuring, they are asked to circle the image of the longest pair of scissors.

The worksheet aims to develop students’ skills in using a ruler to measure the length of objects accurately. It teaches them to read measurements in inches, a standard unit in the imperial system.
