Worksheet Description

This “Long Vowel Sounds” worksheet is designed to help students identify words and images associated with the long I sound. It comprises two sections:

Part 1: In this section, students will encounter various pictures, and their task is to verbalize the name of each picture. If they recognize the long I sound in the word’s pronunciation, they should encircle the corresponding image. This activity sharpens their auditory discrimination skills and reinforces the connection between spoken words and visual representations.

Part 2: This part presents pairs of words. Students are required to read each word pair and determine the word within each pair that contains the long I sound. By comparing and contrasting similar-sounding words, students enhance their ability to identify the long I sound amidst other vowel sounds.
