Worksheet Description

This “Long Vowel Sounds” worksheet is designed to help students recognize words and images associated with the long E sound. It consists of two sections:

Part 1: In this section, students will see various pictures, and they are instructed to pronounce the name of each picture aloud. If they detect the long E sound in the word’s pronunciation, they should encircle the corresponding image. This activity strengthens their auditory discrimination skills and reinforces the connection between spoken words and their visual representations.

Part 2: This part provides pairs of words. Students are tasked with reading each word pair and identifying the word within each pair that contains the long E sound. By comparing and contrasting similar-sounding words, students enhance their ability to distinguish the long E sound from other vowel sounds.
