What's Different Worksheet

Worksheet Description

This worksheet is laid out with several rows of images, where each row contains a sequence of similar pictures. The students are instructed to identify the one image in each row that is different from the rest and circle it. The differences between the images are subtle and require careful observation. At the bottom of the worksheet, there is a self-evaluation section where students can indicate how well they think they did by coloring in one of three faces, ranging from a happy face to a sad face.

The worksheet aims to teach students the concept of anomaly identification by finding the item that does not fit within a set. It enhances the students’ ability to spot differences and promotes critical thinking as they must compare and contrast each item in the row. This task also encourages the development of visual discrimination skills, important for reading and number recognition. Moreover, the self-assessment part encourages students to engage in self-reflection and develop the ability to evaluate their own work.
