Welcome to the “Text Features Explorer” worksheet! In this activity, you’ll get to dive into both a fiction and a nonfiction book of your choice to discover and analyze different text features.
Instructions:
- Fiction and Nonfiction Journey: Select one fiction and one nonfiction book that pique your interest. For each book, flip through its pages and identify various text features present within.
- Identify and Analyze: As you explore each book, make a list of the text features you find. Use as many lines as necessary to describe each feature and its purpose.
- Compare and Contrast: After identifying the text features in both books, compare how fiction and nonfiction texts use different types of features to convey information or enhance the reading experience.
