Sound Safari
Worksheet Description
Students listen to seven sentences and write each complete sentence on the lines. Every sentence contains words that follow a named sound pattern, including long vowels and common letter teams such as ch and sh. After writing, students circle every word that matches the target sound. The animal and travel sentences give each sound pattern a clear and memorable setting.
This worksheet helps students connect spoken sounds with the letter patterns used to write them. Circling the target words asks them to look back at their sentence and identify where the pattern appears. This repeated attention improves both decoding and spelling memory. The activity builds phonics, listening accuracy, word recognition, and confidence writing complete sentences.
This worksheet is part of our dictation sentences worksheet series.
