Asking or Telling?

This engaging activity is designed to help students understand the difference between asking and telling sentences while practicing their punctuation skills.

Students will be provided with a list of sentences. They will cut out each sentence and paste it into the appropriate box, either “Asking Sentence” or “Telling Sentence.” After placing the sentence in the correct box, students will write the appropriate punctuation mark at the end of the sentence. This exercise not only reinforces the concept of asking and telling sentences but also reinforces the importance of using proper punctuation in written communication.
