Worksheet Description

Maria had always loved soccer. From the moment she could walk, she had a soccer ball at her feet. Her dream was to be a part of the school’s soccer team. She practiced every day, dribbling and scoring goals in her backyard.

One sunny afternoon, Maria stood nervously in front of the school’s soccer field. It was tryout day for the team, and her heart raced with excitement and anxiety. She watched as the other kids dribbled, passed, and shot the ball. They all seemed so good.

Maria’s first attempt at scoring a goal during the tryout didn’t go as planned. She missed the target completely, and the ball rolled away. Her face turned red, and she felt like giving up right then and there.

But Maria wasn’t the type to give up easily. She took a deep breath, retrieved the ball, and tried again. And again. And again. Each time, her shots improved. She listened carefully to the coach’s advice and practiced what she had learned.
