Mark the Over/Under

Mark the Over/Under Worksheet

Worksheet Description

This worksheet is a learning exercise centered on the prepositions “over” and “under”. Part ‘a’ consists of four pairs of illustrations, each with a sentence describing the relationship between two objects. The students are asked to choose “over” or “under” to correctly complete the sentence based on the visual cue. Part ‘b’ provides two more images, one with a helicopter and clouds, the other with a parrot and a bridge, and instructs the students to circle the object that is either under the cloud or over the bridge, accordingly.

The purpose of the worksheet is to help students understand and correctly use the prepositions “over” and “under” in context. By assessing the images and choosing the appropriate word to complete the sentences, students practice identifying the spatial relationship between objects. The circling task in part ‘b’ reinforces this understanding by asking them to actively engage with the images and apply their knowledge. Such exercises are important for building early language skills and spatial awareness in young learners.
