Sentences Make Sense
Worksheet Description
This worksheet contains four panels, each with an illustration and a question about the position of an object relative to another. The objects in question include an apple and a tree, a leaf and grass, a bird and the ground, and clouds and a sailboat. Under each panel are two options, “Above” and “Under,” from which the student must circle the correct word based on the position of the object in the illustration. The activity is designed to assess a child’s understanding of the spatial concepts ‘above’ and ‘under.’
The purpose of the worksheet is to teach and test the comprehension of spatial prepositions “above” and “under.” Students must observe the position of one object in relation to another and then identify the correct preposition that describes that relationship. This exercise enhances the students’ visual discrimination skills and reinforces their vocabulary related to spatial positioning. It also encourages reading comprehension, as they must read the question and understand the spatial context before making a decision.
