Tree Scenes

Tree Scenes Worksheet

Worksheet Description

This worksheet presents an activity themed around the spatial concepts of ‘near’ and ‘far’. At the center of the worksheet is a colorful illustration of a scene with multiple trees, animals playing, and other nature elements. The students are instructed to circle the tree that is far away in the illustration. Additionally, there are two trees depicted at the bottom of the page in a line drawing style, where students are prompted to color the trees that are nearer.

The aim of the worksheet is to teach students to discern spatial relationships in a given scene. By circling the tree that is far away, students practice identifying objects that are depicted to be at a greater distance in relation to the viewer’s perspective. The coloring task reinforces this concept by having them engage with the objects that are supposed to be closer. This worksheet is designed to strengthen the students’ understanding of distance in a visual context, which is an important cognitive skill for young learners.
