Worksheet Description

The worksheet begins by providing a word box with various modal auxiliary verbs, such as can, could, may, might, shall, should, will, would, must, ought to, and had better. These verbs offer a range of possibilities for expressing ability, possibility, necessity, permission, and more.

Students are then instructed to choose six modal auxiliary verbs from the word box and incorporate them into their own sentences. They can explore different contexts and situations to showcase the versatility of modal auxiliaries.

The purpose of this activity is twofold: First, it encourages students to understand and internalize the meanings and functions of different modal auxiliary verbs. Second, it provides an opportunity for students to practice constructing grammatically correct sentences using these modal auxiliaries.
