See, Hear, Smell, Feel

Mindfulness #4

Worksheet Description

The “Mindfulness Walk” worksheet is a sensory exploration activity designed to engage students with their environment through mindful observation. The worksheet is sectioned into four quadrants, each dedicated to one of the four primary senses: sight, hearing, smell, and touch. The top left quadrant is marked “I See,” prompting students to document the visual elements they encounter. Opposite to this, the top right quadrant reads “I Hear,” where students can note the various sounds that surround them during their walk. This division helps students focus their attention on specific aspects of their sensory experience, one sense at a time.

In the lower half of the worksheet, the “I Smell” quadrant on the left encourages students to become aware of the different scents they come across, while the “I Feel” quadrant on the right allows space for them to describe the tactile sensations they experience, such as the texture of an object or the breeze against their skin. Decorated with nature-themed illustrations like leaves and a piece of driftwood, the worksheet visually cues the students into a naturalistic setting, enhancing the outdoor experience of a mindfulness walk.
