Texas is one of the 50 states in the United States, and it’s down in the southern part. It’s HUGE! In fact, it’s the second-largest state in the U.S. That means there’s a lot to see and do.

One exciting place is Houston, where astronauts train for their missions to space at NASA’s Johnson Space Center. “Houston, we have a problem” is a famous line you might’ve heard, which comes from there! Then there’s San Antonio, where you can find the Alamo, an old mission and a reminder of Texas’s brave history. Dallas is another big city, known for its modern buildings and a place called the Stockyards, where you can experience the cowboy way of life.

But Texas isn’t just about cities. The state has a variety of landscapes. There’s the Hill Country with its rolling hills and bluebonnet flowers. The Gulf Coast has lovely beaches where families can relax and play in the waves. And then there’s the desert area called Big Bend, which has amazing rock formations and cacti.
