Grammar Shift
Worksheet Description
Students listen to seven complete sentences and rewrite each one using a more advanced grammar change. The tasks include changing tense, moving from active to passive voice, joining ideas with a connecting word, forming a question, replacing repeated nouns with pronouns, and placing an adverb correctly. Each response must still be spelled and punctuated properly. The activity moves beyond copying and asks students to reshape the sentence while keeping its main meaning.
This worksheet helps students see how grammar choices change the way information is presented. They practice listening for the important parts of a sentence before rebuilding it in a new form. The variety of transformations develops flexibility and prevents students from depending on one simple pattern. This strengthens grammar knowledge, sentence fluency, editing, and careful written communication.
