Feel By Touching

Feel By Touching Worksheet

Worksheet Description

This worksheet is an educational activity aimed at teaching children about the sense of touch. The sheet directs the student to circle the part of the body that is primarily used to touch, chosen from a selection of body parts illustrated at the top. It then provides various images that the student is supposed to categorize under “Feels Good” or “Feels Bad,” based on tactile perception. A self-assessment section at the bottom allows students to rate their performance by coloring in one of three emoticon faces, signaling a range from pleased to displeased.

The worksheet intends to educate students about the tactile system and how we perceive different textures and sensations through touch. By choosing what typically feels pleasant or unpleasant, children learn to associate textures and objects with the corresponding tactile sensations. This task not only reinforces their understanding of the sense of touch but also encourages them to think critically and make judgments based on sensory experiences. The inclusion of a self-assessment tool at the end also teaches them to evaluate their own learning process.
