All About My Family

Family Members #10

Worksheet Description

The “Family Members” worksheet is a personalized activity designed to teach students about family structure and the various roles within it. The first section asks students to quantify their immediate family by filling in the blank with the number of people in their family, followed by a section to note the number of pets they have, integrating an often cherished aspect of the family unit.

Below these initial questions are two sets of lists with titles of family members, such as “mother,” “father,” “grandmother,” “grandfather,” “aunt,” “uncle,” “sister,” “brother,” and “cousins.” The students are instructed to circle the family members who live with them in the first list and those who do not live with them in the second list.

This activity is aimed at helping students understand the concept of immediate and extended family. It encourages them to think about the different relationships they have with various family members and how they fit into the larger family network. This worksheet can serve as a great conversation starter for discussions on family dynamics and can be used in a variety of educational settings.
