Eighth Analysis
Worksheet Description
Students proofread five Grade 8 sentences that each contain two spelling errors. They then use definition clues to supply missing words in a second group of academic sentences. The topics include research, public speaking, pollution, investigations, science, history, and new rules. Students must correct the errors while also understanding the meaning of each complete statement.
This worksheet helps students develop the careful attention needed for longer academic words. Finding two errors in one sentence requires them to check the entire line rather than stop early. The clue section also asks them to produce words from meaning instead of simply recognizing them. This strengthens spelling recall, editing, vocabulary, and preparation for high school assignments.
