Dual Depictions

Dual Depictions

Worksheet Description

Embark on a journey of character discovery with the Direct and Indirect Characterization worksheet.

Students will be engaged in a dynamic process of character analysis for their main character. Through a structured organizer, participants will outline the character’s traits, plan how to explicitly showcase these traits (directly), and devise methods for unveiling them subtly through actions, interactions, and thoughts (indirectly).

By mastering both direct and indirect techniques, students will refine their narrative craftsmanship and deepen their understanding of character development, cultivating a richer appreciation for the intricacies of storytelling.
