Number Family
Worksheet Description
This worksheet features nine boxes, each labeled with a multiple of ten from 10 to 90. Within each box, there are blank lines where additional numbers are meant to be written. The task for students is to write the numbers that belong to the same “family” as the one labeled on the box, which implies a sequence or a set of numbers related to the labeled multiple of ten. At the bottom of the worksheet, there is an area where students can express how they feel about their work by circling one of three emoticons, ranging from a sad face to a happy face.
The worksheet is aimed at teaching students about number patterns and the concept of place value within tens. By filling in the numbers for each family, students practice understanding and recognizing which numbers are grouped together based on the tens place. This exercise helps build a foundation for more advanced arithmetic, such as addition and subtraction with multi-digit numbers. Additionally, the self-assessment section at the bottom encourages students to reflect on their own learning and to develop self-evaluation skills.
