Bunny Trail
Worksheet Description
Students help a bunny reach a carrot by moving through a large maze of words ending in -ed. They may travel only through forms that are spelled correctly and must avoid any mistakes. The maze includes verbs that follow several spelling rules, including simply adding -ed, dropping a final e, doubling a consonant, and changing y to i. Students follow the route from the starting point to the carrot at the end.
This worksheet gives students repeated practice recognizing correct past-tense forms. They learn to compare similar words and notice which spelling rule was used. Because one incorrect choice can lead them off the path, the activity encourages slow and careful checking. This strengthens spelling memory, past-tense grammar, concentration, and proofreading confidence.
This worksheet is part of our adding -ed and -ing worksheet series.
