Fruit and Friends
Worksheet Description
The worksheet shows illustrations of children with names and various fruits placed in different spatial positions relative to the children. Students are given directions to look at the fruit in the pictures and determine whether the fruit is above, below, between, or next to the kids. They are then instructed to complete sentences by writing the appropriate preposition that describes the position of the fruit in relation to the named child. For example, students will fill in the blanks to state where the apple is in relation to Bob, where the orange is in relation to Pat, and so on.
This worksheet is designed to teach students about prepositions that describe spatial relationships. By observing the positions of the fruits in relation to the characters, students learn to use prepositions such as “above,” “below,” “between,” and “next to” in context. The activity helps to improve their vocabulary related to position and direction. It also aids in developing their visual perception skills by interpreting the placement of objects in space and describing it using the correct prepositional language.
