4 Legs and a Voice

4 Legs and a Voice Worksheet

Worksheet Description

This worksheet highlights slightly more exotic animals.  Students will use this cut and paste activity to find the sounds made by lions, zebras, horses, and moose.  The different colored clouds make it easier to find the answers and read them back to students.

This worksheet presents a learning activity where children are tasked with matching animal illustrations to their corresponding sounds. Displayed at the top of the page are pictures of four different animals, including a lion and a zebra, with empty speech bubbles above them. Below these images are speech bubbles containing the words “BELLOW,” “GRUNT,” “ROAR,” and “NEIGH,” each representing a sound made by one of the depicted animals. The students are expected to draw lines from the animal sounds to the correct animal that produces each sound.

The aim of this worksheet is to teach students about animal vocalizations and to help them understand that different animals have unique sounds. It encourages associative and critical thinking as children must decide which sound is made by which animal. This activity also promotes vocabulary development by introducing words that describe specific animal noises. Furthermore, it can aid in the development of fine motor skills as students draw lines to connect the sounds to the correct animals.
