Near and Far Worksheet

Worksheet Description

These animals are naturally found all over the planet.  Students that have watched a variety of Disney films will be more familiar with the collection of critters.

This worksheet is a matching activity designed to connect animal sounds with their respective animals. It features illustrations of six animals at the bottom of the page, which include a fox, a horse, and a camel. Above these illustrations, there are speech bubbles containing various animal sounds such as “YELP,” “CHATTER,” “NEIGH,” “GRUNT,” “LAUGH,” and “ROAR.” The task for children is to draw lines from each sound to the animal that typically makes it.

The worksheet is created to help students learn the different sounds associated with various animals, particularly those not typically found on a farm. It aims to enhance the children’s understanding of animal behaviors and vocalizations. This activity also serves to expand their vocabulary with onomatopoeic words that mimic the sounds these animals produce. Additionally, it assists in developing fine motor skills as the students draw connections between the sounds and the animals.
