Land Animals

Land Animals Worksheet

Worksheet Description

Draw a line from each of the animals to the sound that they may make. See of you can curve the arrows like you will see in example.

This worksheet is where children are instructed to match illustrations of various farm animals with their corresponding sounds. The left column of the worksheet shows images of animals such as a horse and a goat, each next to a dot. On the right side, there are dots next to a list of animal sounds including “NEIGH,” “BAH,” “WOOF,” “HEE HAW,” “MOO,” “QUACK,” and “COCK-A-DOODLE-DOO.” One example match is already completed, connecting the horse to “NEIGH,” and students are expected to continue this matching process for the remaining animals and sounds.

The worksheet’s aim is to educate students about the different sounds that farm animals make, reinforcing their knowledge of animal vocalizations. It encourages children to strengthen their memory and matching skills as they pair each animal with the correct sound. This activity is also intended to help expand their vocabulary with specific onomatopoeic words that are used to describe animal noises. Additionally, completing this task helps to refine the children’s fine motor skills as they draw lines to connect the dots.
