Worksheet Description

Students will get more technical on the analysis of a poem. A stanza is a group of lines within a poem, often separated by a blank line or indentation. Stanzas are similar to paragraphs in prose writing and help to organize the poem’s content and structure. A line is a single unit of poetry, typically measured by its length, rhythm, and structure. Rhyme is the repetition of similar sounds at the end of words, often used in poetry to create a musical effect and to connect different parts of the poem.
