Worksheet Description

On this worksheet, students are given a sentence and an indication as to what type of adverb they would need to add or include.  They will rewrite this sentence completely using the indicated type of adverb. Then, the final part of this worksheet requires students to write three of their own examples for each adverb type. Note that this is a free response activity, so an answer key is not needed.

By completely rewriting the sentences, students gain practice in selecting appropriate adverbs that convey specific meanings, such as time, place, manner, frequency, or degree. This exercise enhances their vocabulary and writing skills, enabling them to express a wide range of adverbial information.
