Worksheet Description

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar and is considered one of the holiest months in Islam. During Ramadan, Muslims around the world observe fasting from dawn (Suhoor) until sunset (Iftar) as a spiritual practice. Fasting includes abstaining from food, drink, smoking, and intimate relations during daylight hours.

This month is a time for self-reflection, increased devotion, and seeking closeness to God through prayer, recitation of the Quran, and acts of charity and kindness. The fast is broken daily with the evening meal called Iftar, often starting with the eating of dates and followed by a larger feast. Ramadan concludes with the celebration of Eid al-Fitr, a festive holiday marked by communal prayers, feasting, and the exchange of gifts, which signifies the end of the fasting period. Ramadan is a time of spiritual renewal and strengthening of faith for Muslims worldwide.
