Builder Bazaar

Builder Bazaar Worksheet

Worksheet Description

Students build words ending in -er while exploring a busy town marketplace. They first add -er to base words to create names for people who perform different actions, such as teaching, singing, building, and gardening. The next section asks them to use those new forms inside short sentences about workers at the bazaar. They finish by correcting several incorrectly built -er words.

This worksheet helps students understand that adding -er often changes an action word into the name of a person who does that action. The word-building section gives direct practice, while the sentences show how the new words are used in real writing. Correcting errors also teaches students to check whether a consonant should double or a final e should disappear. This strengthens vocabulary, spelling rules, grammar, and careful editing.

This worksheet is part of our words ending in er worksheet series.
