Middle Review
Worksheet Description
Students complete a middle school review of commonly misspelled words through four-way spelling choices and word-family construction. They first choose the only correctly spelled form from groups containing difficult words such as accommodate, acquaintance, bureaucracy, and millennium. In the second section, they use base words in parentheses to create forms that correctly complete each sentence. The worksheet reviews both exact spelling and how words change when endings are added.
This worksheet helps students identify small spelling differences that can be hard to notice. The multiple-choice section develops careful visual checking, while the word-family section requires students to produce the correct form themselves. Using the words in sentences also builds understanding of how grammar affects spelling. This supports editing, vocabulary growth, word formation, and stronger middle school writing.
